The Mexican government officially froze North Korea’s Mu Du Bong vessel in May last year, according to the 2016 report from the UN Panel of Experts (PoE), following a request from the United Nations 1718 Committee.

The only official statement from Mexico’s authorities on the case came a month prior to the UNSC request and claimed the government was awaiting a decision on the issue.
