Chinese regions bordering North Korea felt tremors caused by North Korea’s successful nuclear test on Wednesday, according to residents and local media reports.

Wang Zhiyun, the student styding in Yanji, Jilin province said she felt tremors caused by the detonation.

“When I was at school, the whole ground was shaking, as well as the Mount Paekdu side. It was kind of scary,” she told NK News. 

CCTV footage from China has also made it’s way onto YouTube. The video shows the ground shaking, and people evacuating buildings.
