Legal and political hurdles have clouded fate of DPRK soldiers captured by Ukraine, complicating any transfer to ROK

A North Korean prisoner of war (POW) taken by Ukraine has expressed a desire to resettle in the South rather than be repatriated to his home country, where he could face punishment for his capture.
