UN human rights envoy calls for North Korea to use funds for people, not weapons

The U.N. special envoy for North Korean human rights has called on the DPRK to use its state funds primarily for the well-being of its people, rather than prioritizing military spending.

Special Rapporteur Elizabeth Salmon makes the recommendation in her latest report to the U.N. Human Rights Council, published on Friday.
