North Korea continuing loudspeaker broadcasts, GPS jamming in new year: Seoul

But defense ministry says DPRK military has suspended construction near border amid regular winter training

North Korea had continued loudspeaker broadcasts and GPS signal jamming in border areas this year, South Korea's Ministry of National Defense (MND) confirmed on Friday, warning that the DPRK’s military activity could pick up speed after winter.

NK News previously found evidence that North Korea halted loudspeaker broadcasts after South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol declared martial law on Dec. 3 but that it had resumed them in at least one border area by Christmas.
