Russian travelers could be first foreign visitors to stay at long-delayed tourism zone after scheduled opening in June

North Korea’s Wonsan Kalma mega beach resort is set to welcome Russian travelers for the first time in July, a month after the scheduled grand opening of the long-delayed tourism zone, according to a Russian travel agency.

The Vladivostok-based Vostok Intur agency, currently the only tour agency organizing regular DPRK tours, announced on Tuesday that it plans to send the first tour group to Wonsan Kalma from July 7-14, with two more to follow from Aug. 4-11 and Aug. 18-25.
