North Korea’s Kim Yo Jong rejects Belarus leader’s claims of summit plans

Sister of DPRK leading denies that Pyongyang requested meeting with Lukashenko, insisting there’s ‘no such thing’

The sister and unofficial spokesperson of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has rejected Belarusian leader Aleksandr Lukashenko’s assertion that Pyongyang reached out to request a top-level summit, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

“If I comment on the report of TASS on the speaking of the Belarusian president that we proposed a top-level meeting to Minsk for a discussion of the issue of cooperation, there is no such thing, at least, as far as I know,” Kim Yo Jong said in the KCNA statement released Monday.
