North Korea has yet to confirm Pyongyang marathon will go ahead: Tour agency

International partner says DPRK may not hold April event despite reports it will take place for first time in 6 years

North Korean authorities have yet to confirm this year’s Pyongyang International Marathon will go ahead, according to one of the event’s international partners, despite recent reports suggesting the contest will resume after a six-year gap.

South Korean media reported earlier this week that the contest will take place on April 6, citing announcements detailing race categories and fees on the official website of North Korea’s sports ministry.
