North Korea assaults South with sonic barrage of howling sirens

Audio recorded near border captures wailing noise from DPRK loudspeakers, which has drawn complaints from locals

North Korean loudspeakers are blasting a cacophony of howling sirens in some areas near the inter-Korean border, NK News has confirmed, amid complaints from local residents about the ongoing psychological warfare campaign against the South.

The sounds recorded near the South Korean city of Gimpo, south of the Han River, on Wednesday feature wailing siren noises that seem to come from loudspeakers installed across the border in the DPRK, and they were audible for hours on end.
