North Korea launched hundreds of suspected trash balloons across the inter-Korean border for the second consecutive day on Thursday.
The South Korean military detected approximately 260 balloons sent southward from Thursday evening until early Friday morning, according to the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).
