Russian and North Korean prosecutors sign deal on law enforcement cooperation

Expert says talks on combating crime may have included discussions on sanctions evasion and cyber operations

The top prosecutors of Russia and North Korea signed a joint cooperation deal on Monday, vowing to bolster efforts to combat crime, including in cyberspace.

Igor Kranov and Kim Chol Won signed several agreements and reached a deal on a cooperation program between their respective offices for 2024-2026 during a meeting in Pyongyang, according to the Russian prosecution.
