Former U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed North Korean leader Kim Jong Un wants him to win the upcoming presidential election in November, and that he plans to “get along” with Kim, should he do so. 

Trump made the remarks during the fourth and final night of the Republican National Convention on Thursday in Wisconsin after formally accepting the party’s presidential nomination. It also marked Trump’s first speech since the assassination attempt on him on Saturday.
