Authorities confirm death of 64-year-old Kim Kum Chol, the name of a university president leading delegation to Moscow

A North Korean man who appears to be the president of an elite army school drowned in a lake in Moscow last week, NK News has confirmed, with Russian law enforcers launching a probe into his death.

Local media reported last week that a 64-year-old man drowned in a lake in Zelenograd, a satellite of Moscow, on July 12, and the Russian Telegram channels SHOT and Baza later identified the deceased man as Kim Kum Chol.
