ROK holds live-fire rocket drills on anniversary of North Korea’s 1950 invasion

Army says large-scale exercise aimed to showcase firepower against DPRK threats, 74 years after start of Korean War

The South Korean army held live-fire drills with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) on Tuesday in a showcase of its firepower to respond to North Korean threats, marking the anniversary of the DPRK invasion that started the Korean War.

The large-scale exercise took place the same day that President Yoon Suk-yeol toured a U.S. aircraft carrier visiting the peninsula, revealing that it will join trilateral drills with Japan set to kick off soon.
