North Korean state-run television will air a recent Russian film about World War II on Tuesday as part of special programming to mark Vladimir Putin’s state visit, making a rare exception to stringent laws that ban citizens from consuming foreign media.
Korean Central Television (KCTV) announced it would air a program called "The Russian People Treasuring Cultural Heritage" around 10 a.m., "Performances by Russian Artists" at 4 p.m., and a 2020 war film called “Podolskie Kursanty,” or “The Last Frontier,” after the evening bulletin.
