North Korean security delegation visits Russia for talks with police chief

Expert says trip underscores growing ties and could feature discussions on overseas workers and security for Putin visit

A North Korean public security delegation left for Moscow on Monday for talks with Russian law enforcement, a trip that one expert said could cover security arrangements for Vladimir Putin’s anticipated visit to Pyongyang.

The delegation led by Ri Song Chol, the DPRK vice minister of public security, departed from Sunan International Airport on Monday, the Russian Embassy to North Korea announced via Telegram the same day.
