At site of kidnapping, ROK demands North Korea repatriate abducted students

‘My only wish is to see my son's face before I die,’ mother says at dedication of memorial to victim taken in 70s

Top South Korean and U.S. officials have called on North Korea to repatriate five high school students abducted from coastal islands, unveiling a new memorial on Friday at the location where DPRK agents kidnapped a 15-year-old boy nearly a half-century ago.

Unification minister Kim Young-ho made the demand during the dedication ceremony for the memorial to Kim Young-nam, who was abducted in 1977.
