North Korea has demoted key department handling inter-Korean affairs, Seoul says

Unification minister claims United Front Department now known as Bureau 10 and tasked with conducting psyops against ROK

North Korea has demoted its main department handling inter-Korean affairs and tasked it with conducting “psychological warfare” against South Korea, Seoul’s unification minister said Monday, in line with its recent decision to ditch the goal of reunification and redefine the ROK as an enemy state.

The United Front Department (UFD) is now known as Bureau 10 and falls under the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, according to minister Kim Yung-ho.
