North Korean state media released a photo of a shooting target on Monday that appeared aimed at demonstrating leader Kim Jong Un’s perfect marksmanship, in what one expert identified as an attempt to liken the current leader to his heroic grandfather and DPRK founder. 

The photo showed a target with what appears to be five bullet holes in the bullseye and was published in a Rodong Sinmun report on Kim Jong Un’s inspection of a weapons factory. Other images showed him shooting a sniper rifle at the factory’s range while being applauded by top military leaders.
