Zhao Leji will attend opening ceremony for ‘friendship year’ to mark 75th anniversary of ties, two sides announce

China’s third highest-ranked official Zhao Leji will lead a political delegation to North Korea this week, the two countries announced Tuesday afternoon.

Zhao will attend the opening ceremony for the “China-DPRK Friendship Year” during his visit from Thursday to Saturday, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said in a statement.
