North Korea’s trade with its main commercial partner China slumped in the first two months of 2024, according to official statistics, after bilateral exchange reached a six-year high in December.

New data released by China’s General Administration of Customs show that the DPRK registered only $190 million in total trade with China in January and around $120 million in February, falling from $206 million and $121 million in these months in 2023.
