The biggest South Korean civilian organization pushing for reunification has disbanded in response to North Korea’s decision to abandon unification as a goal, in a sign of how the policy change is impacting pro-DPRK groups in the South.

The ROK branch of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification announced at a ceremony on Saturday that it will reorganize as the tentatively named Korean Independence Movement Alliance and focus on opposing the U.S. and the Yoon administration.
