North Korea formally abolishes law on cooperation with the South

Kim Jong Un previously ordered all party and military organs drop goal of peaceful unification

North Korea’s rubber-stamp parliament “unanimously” abolished a law on economic cooperation with South Korea and legislation on the Kumgangsan special tourism zone on Wednesday, according to state media.

The Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly (SPA) issued a decree on “Rescinding the North-South Economic Cooperation Law of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the Kumgangsan International Tourism Zone Law and its implementing regulations,” the party daily Rodong Sinmun reported on Thursday.
