North Korea to hype domestic tourism to Russians at Moscow expo, minister says

Russian official says Moscow also seeks DPRK tourists, a possible bid to boost influx of sanctioned laborers

North Korea plans to promote domestic tourist destinations to Russian travelers at an exhibition in Moscow early next year, according to a top Russian official, amid growing expectations for closer cooperation and the resumption of full-fledged air service between the two countries.

DPRK delegates are set “to organize an exposition and presentation of Korean tourist destinations” at a trade show in the Russian capital in March 2024, natural resources and ecology minister Alexander Kozlov reportedly told the state-run Rossiyskaya Gazeta last Thursday.
