North Korea says new spy satellite starts mission to aid nuclear missile units

New office also established under space agency for military satellite’s operation, state media says

North Korea’s first military reconnaissance satellite “began its mission” on Saturday, according to state media, 11 days after it was placed in orbit.

The Malligyong-1 satellite’s operation will help equip the country’s nuclear-armed units with a “more solid readiness posture,” the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported Sunday.
