North Korea will rotate senior diplomats and ambassadors at several key posts around the world, multiple informed sources told NK News, marking some of the first changes in diplomatic personnel since before the DPRK shut its borders in response to the pandemic.

The rotations come amid what appears to be a larger shakeup of North Korea’s diplomatic strategy, following the closure of its embassies in Uganda, Angola and Spain and a report that the DPRK will shutter more than a dozen overseas missions, including in Hong Kong.
