Several North Koreans in ROK custody after crossing sea border by boat: Seoul

South Korean authorities say presumed defectors are under investigation after being found off east coast Tuesday morning

Several presumed North Korean escapees are in South Korean custody after they entered waters off the east coast in a small wooden boat on Tuesday, according to Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).

The individuals are currently under investigation by relevant South Korean authorities, JCS said.
