The U.S. and South Korea will launch large-scale summertime joint exercises next week featuring over twice as many field training drills and the participation of ten other countries, in a move all but certain to draw North Korea’s ire.
For the first time, the U.S. Space Force will also join the ROK military and U.S. Forces Korea’s (USFK) annual Ulchi Freedom Shield (UFS) exercise, which is scheduled to run from Aug. 21 to the end of the month.
