North Korean leader Kim Jong Un inspected flooding and damage from Typhoon Khanun on the east coast, according to state media, blaming “irresponsible” local officials for failing to prevent problems.
Kim traveled to Ogye-ri in Anbyon County, Kangwon Province to “guide its damage rehabilitation,” the state-run Voice of Korea (VOK) reported Monday. The report said a “river embankment has collapsed and more than 200 hectares of farmland have been inundated” in the province.
