North Korean leader Kim Jong Un visited two cemeteries Tuesday to mark 70 years of “victories in the undaunted confrontation with the U.S. imperialists” and thank China for their help in the Korean War, according to state media.

The visits kick off what is expected to be a busy week for Kim, who will likely oversee a military parade showcasing the country's latest nuclear weapons on Thursday, July 27 — the Korean War armistice anniversary or what North Korea calls the “day of victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.”
