South Korea’s National Election Commission has ignored warnings about repeated North Korean cyberattacks against it, the ROK’s ruling party alleged Thursday, criticizing the election body for “insensitivity to national security.”

The National Intelligence Service (NIS) advised the National Election Commission (NEC) to undergo a security check after it was supposedly hacked by North Korea, only for the commission to reject the request for infringing on its “political neutrality,” the People Power Party (PPP) said in a press release Thursday.
