Cuba’s ambassador to North Korea is set to leave the country after serving for over seven years in Pyongyang and after not leaving the country for the past three years amid the DPRK’s COVID-19 controls, according to state media on Tuesday.

The state-run Korean Central Broadcasting Station said Ambassador Jesus Aise held a “farewell visit” on Monday with director Kim Song Nam of the Party Central Committee International Department, though it did not report when Aise will actually travel home.
