North Korea’s rubber-stamp parliament enacted new laws Thursday on “protecting state secrets,” nurturing “prodigies” and resolving issues with financial loans, according to state media, as the country continues a push in recent years to reinforce rule by law.
The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said the Supreme People’s Assembly (SPA) Standing Committee also approved new laws on railroad management and protecting national symbols, and reviewed an existing law on “guaranteeing living conditions” for discharged military officers.
