The U.S., South Korea and Japan will strengthen information sharing about North Korean weapons tests and  sanctions against the regime, the countries announced at a trilateral summit on Sunday, after a historic period of DPRK missile tests including an intermediate-range ballistic missile launch over Japan. 

U.S. President Joe Biden, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida met on the sidelines of the 2022 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit and also warned that a widely expected seventh nuclear test by North Korea would result in “a strong and resolute response from the international community.”
