South Korean military detects ‘trails’ likely from North Korean rockets: JCS

Joint Chiefs of Staff statement follows local media report that DPRK fired multiple rocket launcher on Sunday morning

The South Korean military observed “several trails” that it presumes were made by North Korean multiple rocket launchers (MRLs) on Sunday morning, according to Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).

The JCS statement released late Sunday night came in response to a local media report stating that the DPRK had conducted an MRL launch, citing an anonymous source. JCS did not clarify exactly what it had detected, or explain why it did not report on it earlier.
