Kim Jong Un calls on pro-North Korea media in Japan to ‘enhance’ work

One outlet associated with DPRK affiliate Chongryon hasn’t updated its website design in almost two decades

Kim Jong Un urged two Pyongyang-linked news publishers based in Japan to “enhance” their messaging techniques on Sunday, with one well-known for using the same spartan website design for almost two decades.

Among almost 6,000 words of instructions to North Korea’s Japanese affiliate group Chongryon, timed for the body’s 25th congress event, Kim urged its local media representatives to pull up their socks.
