Yaoyao Dai is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the University of North Carolina Charlotte, having previously been a postdoctoral associate in the Social Science Division at New York University Abu Dhabi. Dr. Dai received a dual-title Ph. D. from the Department of Political Science and the Department of Asian Studies at Pennsylvania State University. Her research focuses on political communication, authoritarian politics, and populism.
