Conservative South Korean presidential candidate Yoon Seok-youl’s stance against an end-of-war declaration is based on “exaggerated” arguments and “fear-mongering,” the campaign team of his progressive opponent said on Monday.
In a statement, Lee Jae-myung’s campaign slammed Yoon’s claim that formally declaring an end to the Korean War will weaken the U.N. Command or reduce domestic support for the stationing of U.S. forces in South Korea.
