South Korea’s defense industry is a key driver of the national economy and peace on the Korean Peninsula, President Moon Jae-in said in a speech at the country’s largest-ever defense expo, a little more than a week after North Korea opened its own weapons display.

Various defense capabilities are on display at the International Aerospace and Defence Exhibition (ADEX), including armored vehicles, tanks, self-propelled artillery, “next-generation” fighter jets and helicopters, drones and missile interceptor systems.
