South Korean spy agency to support university program on counterespionage

Deal with Seoul school aims to nurture security experts to counter cyber threats from North Korea, other countries

South Korea’s state intelligence agency has agreed to work with a local university to support education programs in counterespionage and security, as the country continues to address cyber and other security threats from North Korea.

Under a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed on Wednesday, the National Intelligence Service (NIS) will advise graduate students in the new defense and security program at Myongji University, a school representative told NK News. The program is set to launch next March.
