The U.S. and South Korea continue to closely monitor North Korea’s nuclear activities, Seoul's chief nuclear envoy said during a visit to Washington this week, following reports of new activity at a key nuclear facility in the DPRK.
Noh Kyu-duk met his U.S. counterpart Sung Kim in Washington on Monday, according to the U.S. State Department and South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), to discuss the “urgent task” of resolving nuclear issues. The two also met during Kim’s visit to Seoul last month and issued a similar statement.
