The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has received another sanctions exemption extension to send humanitarian aid to North Korea aimed at helping the country with COVID-19, according to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) 1718 Sanctions Committee website. UNICEF has an additional 12 months to provide medical and respiratory equipment including oxygen concentrators, patient ventilators and a flow splitter for oxygen supply, worth some $760,000.
