Cybersecurity experts say that North Korea may have ramped up its cyber activities on social media since the COVID-19 pandemic began, targeting remote workers as they spend more time online.
According to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaints Center, there was a 61% increase in the number of suspected cybercrimes reported in 2020, with nearly 800,000 complaints filed. That huge jump coincides with an increase in hacking attempts from North Korea.
