North Korea reports zero confirmed COVID-19 cases after testing 21,663 people

The DPRK has tested 43,052 samples in total as of March 18, according to a new WHO report

At least half a million new COVID-19 cases are reported around the world each day, but North Korea still claims to have zero cases of the virus more than a year after it first enacted its strict, ongoing border lockdown.

According to a new report from the World Health Organization (WHO), North Korea has cumulatively tested 21,663 people for COVID-19 as of March 18, and none of the 43,052 total samples have come up positive for the novel coronavirus.
