Less than three years ago, South Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy assessed the possibility of building a nuclear power plant in the DPRK, previously unknown documents published by the ministry on Monday revealed.
The six-page document, which the ministry said was discussed after the First inter-Korean summit in 2018, lists three potential locations to construct nuclear power plants: Kumho in North Korea’s Hamgyong province, the demilitarized zone (DMZ) and Uljin in South Korea’s Gyeongsang province.
