New year, same claims: North Korea says it has zero cases of COVID-19

North Korean borders continue to remain on lockdown, with many modes of transit reportedly banned

North Korea continues to claim that it has zero confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of Jan. 10, according to new numbers reported to the World Health Organization (WHO).

In a report published on Monday, WHO said that samples continued to be tested at 15 laboratories across North Korea. However, the report did not include concrete counts for the number of people newly tested, placed in quarantine or released from quarantine.
