South Korea captures North Korean man who crossed border, issues military alert

The person likely crossed barbed wire at the eastern frontline of the border, ROK military officials told reporters

South Korea issued a rare military alert after detecting signs of a person crossing the eastern border on Wednesday, later capturing an unnamed North Korean man at around 9:50 a.m.

The North Korean man crossed the inter-Korean border for unknown reasons and was found about an hour after the military issued the alert, according to South Korea’s Ministry of National Defense.
