South Korean authorities reportedly arrested a North Korean defector attempting to return to the DPRK through the eastern border town of Cheorwon.
The defector allegedly broke into a military training site near the border and was apprehended at around 9 a.m. on Thursday, Yonhap News Agency reported, citing police. He is described as a man in his 30s who first came to the South in 2018, and he also reportedly had four mobile phones and a “cutting machine” in his possession.
