Taiwan in compliance with North Korea sanctions, top official tells U.S.

Taiwanese nationals and business entities are frequently named in violation of sanctions against the DPRK

Taiwan is complying with international sanctions against North Korea and will work closely with the U.S. towards the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, Taiwanese officials said in a conference call on Tuesday.

In a meeting headed by the Taiwanese National Security Council’s Deputy Secretary-General Tsai Ming-yan, Taiwanese officials spoke to a team lead by the U.S. State Department’s Deputy Assistant Secretary for North Korea Alex Wong.
