North Korea denies Kim Jong Un sent a “nice note” to President Trump

DPRK foreign ministry official insists no letter was sent recently, accuses U.S. President of "baseless" claims

North Korea on Sunday denied U.S. President Donald Trump's earlier claims to have recently received a letter from DPRK leader Kim Jong Un, dismissing the remarks as "ungrounded."

The denial, issued in the form of a statement by an official from the North Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), came in response to Saturday remarks by the U.S. President in which he said he had received a "nice note" from Kim and hailed continued good ties between the two countries.
